Belgian startups @ Web Summit selected to join world’s tech leaders in Dublin


Some of the most promising startups from Belgium have been selected from thousands to join some of the world’s leading early stage technology companies at the Web Summit in Dublin, Ireland this October. Here, they’ll be given the opportunity to pitch to, and meet, some of the world’s leading executives and CEOs from Facebook, Cisco, Box, AOL, Paypal, Kaspersky and Microsoft alongside leading ventures capital firms like Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Andreessen Horowitz, NEA and others. International influencers like Robert Scoble & Tony Hawk will also be at the event in addition to media from the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times and more. 




NASDAQ will also be opening their market live from Dublin - this is the first time that this has happened outside of New York since the Facebook IPO. 


Companies from over 80 countries will be exhibiting at the Web Summit, alongside some of the world’s most internationally renowned investors, entrepreneurs, and global media. 

Several of these companies are trying to change the way people communicate: TUZZit, for example,  revolutionises the way people develop and share ideas, Endare is trying to make meetings more efficient & paperless, while AproPLAN is changing the way people communicate on construction projects while Swipefeed is focusing on Twitter and is trying to turn it into a great reading experience get rid of the noise.

Others are trying to revolutionise television: Relike TV gives people the power to transform their video activity on the web into the best Social TV for their friends, fans and followers. Tevizz, on the other hand, automatically summarizes any broadcast by listening to social comments

UXprobe is focused on people who build products: it’s a new type of UX analytics service that helps product teams create products that people actually use.

Others are building products that interact with, and improve the physical world like PiggyBee, which provides a new way to carry objects worldwide or locally : Eco delivery based on crowdsourced logistics >



Take Eat Easy is the first online food ordering platform centered around dishes, and not just restaurants - an interesting twist on something that is becoming increasingly popular in recent years.

Famest offers to tag your clothes and get rewarded by your favorite brands.
